Sterling, VA - We are pleased to welcome Mr. Melchor H. Carandang, Jr. to the Fortessa (Asia) Ltd. team!  Mr. Carandang has an extensive background in our industry.  He earned a degree in ceramics engineering from the University of the Philippines prior to starting his career in 1982 with Noritake in the Philippines.  Subsequently he worked for various manufacturers in the ceramics industry before leading the opening of a major Indonesian manufacturing operation in1995.  More recently, Mr. Carandang transitioned to sales activity and was the Regional Sales Manager for Asia/India for Royal Doulton.  Accordingly, he brings a strong sales and technical background to his new role with Fortessa.

 

As Sales Manager for Southeast Asia, Mr. Carandang will lead Fortessa (Asia) Ltd's sales efforts in the ASEAN region as well as India.  He will also provide support and expertise to Fortessa's sourcing program as he interfaces with various ceramic manufacturers.  Mr. Carandang will be based in the Philippines and will report to Robert M. Finley, Vice President International Sales, and Eric M. Hamberger, Co-president and COO.
