PEBBLE BEACH FOOD AND WINE ENLISTS
FORTESSA/SCHOTT ZWIESEL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Sterling, VA – Fortessa/Schott Zwiesel is the official stemware sponsor of the 2nd Annual Pebble Beach Food and Wine festival. Taking place from April 16th to 19th, the festival is our Nation's largest, most luxurious event of its kind. It will take place at the three enchanting hotels of Pebble Beach Resorts: The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay, and Casa Palmero.
Set against the panoramic beauty of the Pacific coastline, the epicurean event gathers a galaxy of 60 culinary stars from around the world, including such notables as Tom Colicchio, Traci Des Jardins, Michael Mina, and Joachim Splichal, presenting a series of sumptuous lunches, dinners, and cooking demonstrations throughout the area. Some 250 winemakers from around the world will lead tastings, wine seminars, and a rare-wine auction.
During the event, guests will enjoy the official festival glass: Schott Zwiesel's Forte' collection of stemware. Selected for its elegant shape, balance, and its ability to enhance the enjoyment of both red and white wines, Forte' also boasts the durability of patented Tritan® technology. Made with Titanium, Tritan crystal glass is highly resistant to breakage and chipping, as well as being dishwasher safe. At Pebble Beach Food & Wine, which demands the best the culinary world has to offer, but still requires 17,000 glasses for use in demanding conditions, only Schott Zwiesel's Tritan met the challenge!
“A popular choice of leading chefs and winemakers, both in California and globally, our product is a natural match for the Pebble Beach event,” noted Eric Hamberger, co-president of Fortessa. The culinary tour de force, Mr. Hamberger noted, is aimed at celebrating excellence in the world of food and wine, particularly the quality and richness of California agriculture, as well as providing a forum for guests to interact with chefs and vintners in educational settings.
Fortessa, based in Sterling, VA, is a leading developer, designer and marketer of high quality dinnerware, glassware, and metalware for the global commercial foodservice industry and the retail market.
Proceeds from the Pebble Beach event will go to local charities, including the Boys and Girls Club.
